CMP Initiatives

 

CMP Calendar of activities for the quarter October to December were taken up with great interest and enthusiasm in KVAFS Begumpet under the able guidance of dynamic Principal Mrs .PVV Prasanna and Headmistress Mrs. Dilruba Sultana . A number of academic activities and co-curricular activities were conducted to inculcate values and to harness their skills and impart knowledge. Few Glimpses of various activities with short reports are attached.

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

   Report from Examination Department:
   In the academic session 2017-18 Periodic test-I was conducted from 9.08.17 to 16.08.17. Parent Teacher     meeting was held on 31.08.17 under the able guidance of efficient HM Mrs. Dilruba Sultana and examination   in charge Mrs. Sangeeta Ramesh. Parents were apprised of their ward’s performance in PT -I. Necessary suggestions were given by our HM and concerned subject teachers for the improvement of student’s performance. Half Yearly Examinations started from 9.10.2017  and they  ended on 17.10.2017 . Remedial classes were planned after school subject wise with the consent of the parents.  Special attention was paid to under achievers to improve them. Periodic test-II will be starting from 12.01.17 and will be ending on 25.01.17.Most of the low achievers have improved after the remedial classes.

   Workshops and teacher trainings:
   On every Saturday one hour sessions are allotted for the teacher development programs, under which demo   lessons and teacher mentoring sessions on various topics were given by Mrs Dilruba Sultana and some of the   expert teachers. Demo lessons were given by many Primary teachers for exchange of ideas.

School level workshops were conducted by the Headmistress Mrs.DilrubaSulatana to introduce “Back to Basics” in day to day teaching and planning to achieve the targeted learning outcomes among the students.  Sessions on “Communicative skills in English” was also taken in our Vidyalaya for all the Primary teachers. By  the Master trainers Mrs.Rutha, Mrs.Pratima Anand & Mrs.Sangeeta Ramesh.

The teachers whoever attend any work shop at ZIET Mysore or any other place, In-service courses too shared their ideas with other teachers on Saturdays.

  A Practical Demo Class was taken by Head Mistresses and the Master trainers for all the Primary teachers   regarding the usage of Apple tablet and Apple TV .A workshop was held in our Vidyalaya for Senior PRTs and HMs for designing common Learners Achievement Test Papers, Teacher Aided Scripts ,Assignment Papers, Term Ending Papers and Subject Enrichment Activities . After the workshop all the Primary Teachers of this Vidyalaya were trained by HM.

  CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES & CELEBRATIONS : 
INDEPENDENCE DAY:
  
   Independence day was celebrated in a befitting manner to instill patriotism and love for nation among the                                                     students on august 15th in our Vidyalaya. Under the programme 71 years of Independence various    competitions were held in our Vidyalaya to make the children understand the sacrifices of the great Indian   freedom fighters.
   GRAND PARENTS DAY:
 Grand Parents day was celebrated to teach the students how to show love, care and respect for the elders. To celebrate it in different way representatives of all classes were taken to old age home the inmates of the old age home were interviewed by the students and they were distributed Fruits and Biscuits. Some students of Our Vidyalaya also entertained them with two dances. Both the students and the elders staying in the old age home appreciated the good gesture of the Vidyalaya.

   CHILDRENS DAY:
   Children’s day was celebrated on 14th November, Fancy dress competition was held in the morning session   with the themes Fruits and Vegetables for Classes I and II , Famous personalities for Classes III to V. Which was   followed by community lunch in the afternoon session .Children enjoyed whole day by watching the programmes and eating together.

   CLUSTER SPORTS MEET: Cluster level Sports competitions were conducted in our Vidyalaya on 28/10/2017, in which Fourteen schools of our cluster participated. Judges were hired from outside and excellent arrangements were made for the children to enjoy and take part in the Sports competitions. The sports extravaganza started with an inaugural function were in the chief guest was honored on his arrival. The chief guest Mr PVV Prasanna Principal AFS    Begumpet was presented with a sapling instilling deep insight to promote the go green environment concept.   A remarkable gesture in an effort to teach the students a clean, healthy and wonderful environment

The budding sportsmen arranged themselves in different blocks of their respective schools to present a march past which was highly appreciated as it surpassed the level of these tiny tots. The leader and captains of different schools lined themselves in a semicircle holding the pluck cards. An oath taking ceremony was solemnized where in the oath was administered by Mrs. Padmaja Naidu PRT . All the escorts teachers took the oath after which the chief declared the sports meet open. With the thundering noise of crackers and soothing lift of gas balloons released in the air, keeping pace with tradition of Olympics a torch was lit by the captains of different schools. The captains ran with torch and handed it over to the chief guest, who in turn lit the sports torch .The cheer girls were boosting the enthusiasm of the crowd and budding sportsmen.
Students were assigned different colour code for the event which they sported and looked very colourful. Each school had a bright and eye catching colour. Students along with their escort teacher arrived to the venue at 8:30 AM sharp from the schools in station a few schools arrived by 10:00 am as per the convenience of the transport.

  A balanced and nutritive breakfast to keep the budding sportsmen on their feet was served .The primary teachers of KVAFS Begumpet were vigilant and alert at every move under the able guidance of our HM  Mrs. Dilruba Sultana.

A punctual update of the announcement of the events taking place by Mrs Hemamalini PRT brought a glitter to the events one after the other maintaining time. A panel of excellent referees and judges who mastered the events judiciously was highly appreciated. The games started as per the schedule one after the other .
  Our school stood First in KHO-KHO (BOYS) , KABADDI (GIRLS) ,100 METER RACE  (CLASS III BOYS), stood third in KABADDI (BOYS) and  Consolation Prize in cultural item in  GROUP DANCE. Which was held at KV Uppal-1 and First in Quiz which was held at KV Uppal-2.

  The event came to an end with the valedictory function. All the students then with the escort teachers   gathered for the valedictory function. Certificates and medals of Gold, Silver and Bronze were distributed by the chief guest Principal KVAFS Begumpet and Headmistress of KVAFS Begumpet to the winning teams. This  was followed by vote of thanks which was proposed by our senior most teach Mrs Dasicy Francis marked the end of the event. All the participants dispersed after the National Anthem.
